  2. Have a clinical breast examination at least every 3 years beginning at age 20, and annually after age 40.
  3. Perform monthly breast self-examinations beginning at age 20.

INCLUDE EXERCISE IN YOUR LIFE

Physical activity may lower a woman's risk of developing breast cancer.

NUTRITION IS IMPORTANT

For overall wellness and to potentially decrease your risk of developing breast cancer, it is recommended that women consume a diet rich in fruits and vegetables.

DO YOUR BODY A FAVOR

The role of cigarette smoking as a breast cancer risk factor is still under study, but tobacco smoke is a known carcinogen (cancer-causing agenct) implicated in lung cancer.  Do your body a favor and stop smoking today!

MODERATION IS KEY

Numerous studies have shown that alcolhol increases the risk of breast cancer. If you drink alcohol, drink in moderation, less than one drink a day.
